Stop Anger, Resentment and Guilt

The following is a script for a visualization meditation for releasing resentment and guilt.  Read through it several times until you get the basic idea.  You can adjust the mediation to address your specific needs but begin here.  Creative Intelligence will continue to guide you, and you may end up adjusting this for your specific needs.

Relaxation

Begin by getting into a comfortable and relaxed position.  It’s not necessary to sit in any particular position, just as long as you feel comfortable.  Lying down is fine, however you may tend to fall asleep and it’s important that you remain awake for the meditation to be of full benefit.
Begin to allow your body to relax.
Take a couple of deep breathes.  As you breathe in allow your abdominal area to expand.  As you breathe out, imagine that you are releasing tension from your body.  You may be surprised even at this point to recognize how much tension is in your body.
The following is what is called fractional relaxation:
Begin to focus your attention at the crown of your head.  You may like to imagine that a light, liquid in form, is beginning to spread out from the crown of your head.  The light is about the consistency of honey, and as it spreads across the top of your head you feel it relaxing any tension there may be in this area. You may feel a tingling sensation.  It could begin to feel warm or cool, depending upon your needs for the moment.  This is your meditation and whatever is needed is being provided.
Move down to your forehead.  As you do so, you know that the top of your head has been placed in a state in relaxation.
Continue to feel this sensation as it slowly spreads across your forehead and down the back of your head.  You could have this happen simultaneously or first across the forehead and then down the back of the head.  Whatever feels most comfortable for you.  Just focus and relax that portion of your body.
As you continue to move through each portion of your body, know that the act of concentrating and focusing has placed each previous area into a state of relaxation.
Relax your eyes.  Relax your eyelids.  Relax your cheeks.  Imagine a feeling of flowing or melting as the light travels through your body.  You feel a slight smile, which tends to relax the face.  It feels so good to be taking the time to do this.
Continue to breathe and with each breathe you feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed.  Repeat the word “relax” slowly each time you exhale.
Relax each portion of your body this way.  Take your time.  Concentrate on that portion of your body and repeat the word relax as you exhale.
Relax your shoulders.  Imagine the liquid or light slowly moving across your shoulders, down your arms and with it cleansing and removing negative energy and tension.
Continue with your chest area and your abdomen.  Relax your back, first the upper back then the lower back.  Go to the pelvis area, the thighs, the calves and the feet.  With each breathe you become more and more relaxed.
Your entire body is now relaxed and calm.  It feels so good to be this relaxed.  Now simply relax, calmly, enjoying this feeling. Thank your body for relaxing.  Thank your Higher Power for the ability to enter this state.

Visualization

Now imagine that you find yourself facing the doors of an elevator.  As the doors open, you step in and see that elevator is glass.  You then see that the elevator is the type that runs outside of a building.  As you look around you see that you can look out of the glass doors.

You look out and see you a view of a valley.  You can see rolling hills and mountain tops in the distance.  There are clouds drifting by and birds flying in the distance. The view is breathtaking and you pause for a few moments to take it all in.

When you are ready, you feel the elevator begin to slowly and smoothly descend.  You are comfortable and feel completely at ease.  You know you are safe and secure.  As you descend you hear a gentle calming voice.  The voice does not startle you but makes you feel even more relaxed and comfortable.  You hear “You are now at level ten.”  You continue to feel yourself descending and as you look out you notice the trees and plants coming into view. You hear  “You are now at level nine.  .”  Then “You are now at level eight..” and so on.  With each level you become more and more relaxed.

When you reach level five you notice that you are descending below ground level. The surroundings have sunlight streaming through from above and you see lush greenery.

Continue down through each level.  The voice now tells you, “You are at level four.  You are going deeper and deeper.” With each level you realize you are becoming more and more attuned with the inner subjective world; the world of the spirit.  Continue until you reach level one.  When you reach level one the doors open and you see you are in the middle of a beautiful green valley, lush with vegetation; flowers, plants and trees.

There is a path in front of you.  As you follow the path you come across a small garden with a comfortable stool and you know you have reached your destination.  As you sit you see you are next to a stream of light that descends down from the sky.  This column of light is brighter than any light you have seen yet it does not hurt your eyes.  Just being near the light causes you to feel joyful and free.  You know this light is the Light of Forgiveness.

Your purpose here today is to let go and release any feelings of resentment or guilt that have been holding you back in life and diminishing your usefulness.

The voice you heard in the elevator gently instructs you to place your feelings of resentment and guilt into  your right hand.  You now find yourself stretching this hand out into the stream of light.  You know you are safe and that the light will not hurt you.

As you put your hand into the light these words come to you.

I am now releasing any thoughts, feelings, attitudes and energies that are not in direct alignment with the energy of Infinite Love.  I am now letting go of all resentments and guilt which stand between me and the consciousness of Divine Guidance, Wisdom and Power.  I now release and let go of all results as I allow the Universe to transform these things and know they will be used for the purpose of extending love.  And so it is!

(Note:  It is not necessary for you to memorize these exact words.  The wording does not matter as long as you express a desire to let go, express the desire with positive statements worded in the present, and let go of results.  Express faith and trust at the level of your willingness for that day.)

As you hold your hand out to the light you see that the energy of what you are releasing is taken from you and transmitted up through the pillar of light.  These thoughts, feelings, attitudes and energies have now been removed from you.  They are no longer a part of you.  They are being used for whatever purpose may be of highest good.

It feels so good to be relieved of the weight that you have been carrying around. You feel light, free, calm and relaxed.  You feel so grateful to have been relieved.  Stay for a moment in this feeling of release and gratitude.  Imprint the memory of this feeling on your mind and body.  Remember what it feels like.

You are made aware that at any time these things appear to have returned, you can simply reach out your hand to remember these good feelings.  This will be your touchstone. You will then realize that your Creator has removed these things from you.

Stay here as long as you like.

When you are ready, slowly begin to feel yourself coming back into your room.  Feel the furniture you are sitting on.  Feel your clothing next to your body.  Slowly count to five as you come out of your mediation.  Open your eyes feeling relaxed, healthy and whole.

See affirmations for forgiveness here.

Knowing what to ask in an online psychic reading will help save you time and money. Being specific, rather than asking or expecting a psychic reader to know everything about you in less than one minute is important. While it can be entertaining and even self-validating to “test” the psychic in this way, all this really accomplishes is to find out what you already know. The goal in any online psychic reading should be to discover things you don’t already know so you can prepare for the future, rather than just getting confirmation on what you yourself know already or believe to be true.

Make a list of what you’d like the psychic reader to focus on. Know what you’re going to ask before you call. Start with the most important thing on your mind. If you want to know about a relationship, ask the psychic about that particular person or situation. However, be very specific about exactly what you want to know about that particular person. In an online psychic reading, specific questions get specific answers. General questions get general answers. Instead of asking if you are ever going to hear from your love interest again, ask when you will hear from that person. Ask what you can do to make that communication go smoothly. Ask if you should be the one to initiate contact or if the person will contact you and when. Ask if you should continue to keep your focus on this person, or if the guidance is to simply move on.

It’s important to understand that we have free will and can change the outcome of any situation by our choices. For example, if you’d like to know about money, job, career, and business, don’t ask “Should I take this job?” Ask, “If I take this job, then what happens?” If you’re afraid of running out of money, don’t ask “Am I going to run out of money?” Ask instead, “What can I do to prevent running out of money? What should I do? In what direction should I look?” Then ask “If I do XYZ, what is the result?” A good and real online psychic reader will be able to project that choice into the future and tell you what will happen as a result of your choice.

Some live online psychic readers already know what you’re going to ask before you ask it because they are real psychics. Some can make a guess about what you’d like to know about because there are certain topics that most people ask about. These are usually relationship and money related questions. Most online psychic readers can easily answer your questions about these. Some, but not all online psychic readers will answer questions about health related matters.

If you already know the answer to your questions, then don’t bother asking them in a live psychic reading. Many people go into an online psychic reading with a preconceived idea about what the outcome of a situation will be. This is attachment to outcome and it gets in your way of hearing the truth of the matter, whatever it might be. What you should be asking about in a psychic reading is guidance that will help move you forward on the path, rather than etched in stone outcomes that may not be in your highest and best interest.

Face it, we’re all shy at times. It’s when this starts to become a habit that the problem sets in – we start to go about our lives with the intent of avoiding people and places where our shyness will show. Try out some of these tips on overcoming shyness and social anxiety.

1. Build up your confidence levels

There’s got to be something you’re good at, better than most other people. Build on the confidence you have with this. And realize that if you can be confident in one situation, you’re actually perfectly capable of transferring that confident feeling into other situations. You may not believe me on that, so try it in a situation where it doesn’t matter whether it works or not. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the result.

2. Don’t act so weird

You could be bringing it on yourself by acting odd. Think how geeks are portrayed in movies – they’re always uncomfortable in situations involving other humans but quite at home playing World of Warcraft and interacting with imaginary creatures – or people pretending to be imaginary creatures. Try to act more “normal”, wear clothes that don’t stand out and make you look like you just grabbed the first things you came across in your wardrobe whether they worked together or not.

3. Be brave occasionally

You already know the boundaries of your comfort zone. Push them – you created these boundaries, so you can push through them. After all, they’re just a figment of your overactive imagination anyway.

4. Stop thinking you’re second best

You may not be able to chase a ball around a field like some sportsmen (and lots of dogs!) but that doesn’t mean that you’re automatically second best. We all have different skills, which is a good thing otherwise society would be far too one-sided. There will be something you excel at. Find it, capitalize on it, extend that feeling of “wow” to other areas of your life and see just how big a difference that makes.

5. Success breeds success

A cliche, sure. But it’s also a truism. With each small increase in confidence you should find yourself getting slightly braver. Situations that you’d previously have taken a hundred mile detour to avoid won’t seem quite as problematic. Chipping away at the edges of your shyness will have a disproportionate effect. And once you get below the 50% shy stage you’ll find your shyness really starts to melt away.

The Main Reason Why People Procrastinate

Do you have a habit of avoiding important task but your not sure why? You are not the only one. There are many people who delay when something needs to be done. In other words many people procrastinate. When people procrastinate, they delay in performing certain task that may be important. They may think that there is time to do something later, but what usually ends up happening is that time period closes. Those who procrastinate lose in the end. So why do people procrastinate?

People may procrastinate for different reasons. Some procrastinate because they do not have enough time, or they have other things to do that are more interesting. The reality is it goes deeper than that. The fear of failure is one major reason why people procrastinate. People also procrastinate because of the fear of success.

There are others who procrastinate because they are afraid that the task they have to do will turn out wrong. They will do tons of research and it makes them look productive, but in fact they are also procrastinating. They want things to be done right the first time. So they procrastinate in order to avoid messing up.

These reasons may seem different but they are all the same. The real reason why people procrastinate is fear. This fear could be deeply embedded the sub-conscious mind. So people procrastinate not so much because of the lack of time but because of fear. If this is the case, then fear has to be removed so that people would not procrastinate.

This may not work for everyone, but may work for quite a number of others. In order to do this, however, you have to ask why. Why are you afraid of success, failure or not getting something right the first time? It’s not enough to know you are afraid of something; you have to know the why. This takes you deeper into yourself. Only then you may be able to find the real reason for the fear and overcome it.

When people procrastinate it may make them look irresponsible. As a result they are not able live their lives to the fullest. When people procrastinate, it can create distrust in others because to them they may not be reliable. Finding the root cause for your fear is the first step to overcoming procrastination. You will then be on your way to enjoying your life and be stress free.

Balancing Your Life For Self Empowerment

Many times the life of a successful person becomes quite hectic and we reach a point where things start to seem like they are spiraling out of control.   A big part of self empowerment is to prioritizing your day, but many times we are too geared toward reaching our desired goal that we forget to prioritize time for ourselves., because we need to insure that we have a balance in our lives so things don’t get out of control.   We need to make time for ourselves, just like we make time for our phone calls and exercise programs.  Below are a few suggestions to help to create more of a balance in our busy schedules.  Feel free to offer suggestions on what is working in your daily routine.

1) Quiet of mediation time-  Taking just 10 to 20 minutes per day to go within and center ourselves is all we need to our energy levels at peak performance.  Putting on some soft music or a mediation program does wonders.  I like to just sit for several minutes and count all the things in my life that I am thankful for.   This helps me focus on all that is right in my life and keeps the negativity at a minimum.  The main purpose of quiet time is to just get away by yourself and re-energize during the course of your busy day.

2) Simple Self Care - Getting a full 8 hours of sleep (or as much as you personally need) is a great start, as well as eating nutritious food, exercising daily and speaking kindly to yourself.
Have you ever noticed that when you’re really tired or stressed, even the smallest problem can seem like a nightmare?  On the other hand, when you’re feeling well-rested and centered, you’re much better able to handle upsets.  Caring for yourself is one sure way to consistently replenish your energy, inner peace and joy – which means you’ll have the strength to handle whatever comes your way.

3)  Flexibility.

Did you know that one of the biggest causes of stress is rigid expectations?  We all do it from time to time; get a mental picture of how our lives “should be” – and get really annoyed when our outer circumstances don’t cooperate!  One of the biggest gifts you can give yourself is a flexible state of mind.  In other words, learn how to detach from unrealistic expectations and go with the flow.

When you have a flexible mind-set, you’re able to deal with crises and problems much more easily because you’re not working against a preconceived notion of how things “should be”.  You’re able to tap into your creative problem-solving skills and move through challenges without all the drama and frustration.  Be like the tree that bends with the breeze – and you’re much less likely to break!

These inner changes can make a dramatic difference in your state of well-being, but you may also want to examine your outer life circumstances and see if there are other small changes you can make to help support your inner work.

For example, you might choose to let go of certain obligations that are no longer meaningful or enjoyable to you.  Just because you agreed to host weekly meetings for a support group three years ago doesn’t mean you have to keep doing it forever – especially if it’s become a drain on your time and energy!

Be willing to let go of activities that no longer complement the lifestyle you desire, and you’ll create a space for greater fulfillment, joy and peace.

These 3 techniques that seem so simple, are so crucial to maintaining a successful lifestyle.  Please don’t take them for granted.  Self empower, live your life at peak performance.

To your success,

Terry Poster

How to Pick Yourself Up After a Set-Back

How do you react when something unexpected happens and puts a spanner in the works? Do you turn tail and retreat into a corner to lick your wounds, or do you straighten your back, clench your fists, grit your teeth and have another go at it?

Some people thrive upon challenges whilst others live in fear of them. We each have our own individual temperament and general attitude towards things which happen in life, and this is dependent upon our genes and our upbringing. The two interact to make each of us very unique. Yes, you can identify general similarities and between individuals and we each fall within certain “bands” of characteristics, but we do all have our own unique “twist”.

Just because you are born with a certain general characteristic does not mean that you cannot temper, change or even overcome it. We all have the ability to shape our own perceptions, expectations and our ultimate reality. This is an important fact to know, because otherwise you might just think “this is how I am” and flee into your corner smarting from your wounds and feel a failure for the rest of your life.

Even though you get driven back into that corner you always know that that is not your rightful place. You know you should be out there, don’t you? Some people only realize this in a tiny way; others become angry because they are only too aware that this situation is just not right. Your emotions at this point are quite likely to be holding your back; they can create a fog which stops you from seeing more clearly and focusing in a more positive way.

When you reach a dead end time and again, your energy can become depleted because you begin to doubt that you will ever reach your goals. With each successive set-back you lose a little more of your self-belief; you lose confidence. It becomes natural to retreat and takes longer and longer to harness the energy and positive expectation to motivate yourself to try again.

In this sort of situation, you need to clear the negative vibes from your mind and body; you need to clear that fog which has taken hold of you, step back and replenish your positive energy stores, thereby enabling you to focus clearly and productively once again.

Hypnosis is a wonderful tool which allows you to do exactly this. With hypnosis you can provide yourself with a mental massage, a mind spa break, and replenish your flagging energy stores. You can fill yourself with enthusiasm and self-belief, easily building your self-confidence back up to where it should be. And you can do this safely at home simply by listening to a hypnosis mp3 download.

Procrastination can creep in and easily become a habit. Once it does, it erodes your capacity to function effectively. But it can be a hard habit to break.  However, with some honest self-assessment and an organized and attainable plan of attack, it can be overcome successfully.
Be gentle with yourself when you decide to try and kick the procrastination habit.  It may be so ingrained that you don’t fully recognize all the ways you actually procrastinate. Start out by taking a large or complicated task and breaking it down into smaller parts that you can accomplish easier.  It’s important to bear in mind that the most difficult or complex tasks are simply just a series of smaller jobs.
Make a verbal commitment to someone else about improving your time management skills and your desire to avoid procrastinating. Allow others to become involved in your efforts by reviewing your progress, helping you set deadlines or evaluating your results can be very helpful.  This will most likely create a commitment on your part to fulfill the expectations they’ve set for you.
Sit down and map out a plan to manage your time more effectively.  When a deadline is looming, make sure you allot time each day to work on the project so it doesn’t sneak up on you in the final hours or days.  Learn to ask for help when you’re feeling overwhelmed or overworked.
Reward yourself for good behavior and accomplished goals. Don’t wait until you’ve accomplished the ultimate goal, but reward yourself for your successes along the way.  Make sure the reward is something you like to do.  Treat yourself to the newest book by your favorite author and take the time to read it.  Indulge in bubble baths or relaxing music.  If you’ve gotten into the habit of working late, make sure you develop a new habit of going home on time each night.
By making a commitment to avoid the avoiding habit, you’ll soon be well on your way to finding more time and find yourself more relaxed and productive and less stressed in the process.

Basement People Versus Balcony People

We all have people in our lives that either inspire us or bring us down.  I call the ones that bring us down basement people and I call the ones that pick us up balcony people.  The balcony people triumph in your accomplishments, they are your cheerleaders, the ones that will encourage you and bring you to new heights.  These are the people I choose to surround myself with.  You can pick them out pretty quickly – be around a person a few times and you should have them pegged by their conversation.  The balcony people will find positive in even the not so good situations – they will see the light even in the dark.  Then there’s the basement people – these are the ones that will complain, can’t see the good in anything and seem to want to bring you down with them.  They will find reason to complain and find everything wrong with a situation.  They exude negativity and won’t be happy until they transfer their negative ideas and energy to someone else.  Bottom line – they will drain you and you’ll feel exhausted after leaving their presence.  Sometimes you’ll even feel as if something hit you.  They are the joy busters.  The great news is that we have a choice to either be around these types of people or not.  So ask yourself, do I want to be around balcony people and have them lift me up or do I want to be around basement people and go down to the dark abyss of negativity with them.  Now ask yourself what type of person am I?  Am I a balcony person – singing, dancing on the platform of life or am I a basement person bringing others down and stealing their and most importantly your own joy?  It’s time to go out there and dance to sing our songs of joy!

mRemember, may the possibilities of today excite us!

What Types Of Foods Store The Longest For Survival Situations?

When you are looking to store food for a survival situation the best options are to get food supplies that store a long time. While there are many different techniques and strategies for storing food, one can’t go wrong storing consumables that have a very long expiration date.

Salt is a great item to store. It makes just about everything taste better. It’s cheap. It will last you a long time. It can even be used to preserve meats if need be. There is no excuse for not having a large supply of salt if going for long term food storage.

Wheat is another staple item to keep. It takes years for wheat to expire and there are so many things you can do with wheat. While it may take some people awhile for their stomachs to get used to real wheat, it does provide quite a bit of nutrients. One technique is to sprout wheat. In this state wheat can be used as a green.

Powdered milk is something to keep that will last a very long time. Most of us do not like the taste of powdered milk for drinking. However, keeping it in the refrigerator overnight does help with the taste. It can be stored just as a way of having milk to use in other recipes.

Honey makes a good long term sweetener. Although it might crystallize a bit, it can be stored for years. It will sweeten up just about anything taking away the bland taste from quite a bit of different foods and drinks.

Peanut butter is also something that stores very well. It has quite a bit of protein which is hard to come by especially since many meats don’t store as well long term.

It is important that you also remember to rotate your food supplies for the best longevity. That is to say that you want to keep all of your latest food stock to the front so that it will be consumed first. For example, if storing soups, when you shop at the store for new soup be sure to replace that with your stored soup. This will ensure that your food supplies don’t spoil.

If you are looking to store food long term, remember, there are some foods that last for years. Learn what these foods are and be certain to use a basic storage rotation idea to keep things fresh.

Memorization is the practice of using specific techniques to learn new information and store it permanently in your long term memory. Done correctly, memorization can mean that an individual can recall information learnt years previously.

A bad memory is usually the result of poor memorization techniques. Once mastered, anyone can and is able to massively increase their potential to learn. It is not just the ability to learn that is important. Memorization also helps to improve the health of your brain.

This may seem strange, but in actual fact, it makes perfect sense. Your brain is like a sponge. The more you learn the more saturated with information it gets. But unlike a sponge which can only hold so much, your brain has the amazing ability to learn exponentially. It literally grows new neural pathways which in turn increases your brain power.

Neural pathways are the connections between the various parts of the nervous system, including the messages between the brain and the rest of the body. A healthy brain and healthy body is dependent upon strong neural pathways.

It was once thought that humans were born with a given number of brain cells and that these died and depleted over time eventually leading to a deterioration of brain function. Studies have found that this is only partially true. Learning and actively training your mind helps to rebuild the connections within the brain. This helps to delay the onset of age related memory loss.

Using memorization techniques will help to strengthen the brain and increase its capacity to learn and grow. One simple technique to use is repetition coupled with vocalization.  This technique requires that you read what you are learning aloud and repeat it several times.

You may think that this is nothing special, since this is what many people do, but there are subtle differences in the way many people learn and the way that a person should learn for optimum results. For example, if you had to study a large set of notes, you would firstly need to condense your notes to the bare bones of the most important concepts and keywords.

Next, you would organize your material so that it was in point form – in other words in short sentences that you can understand and which make sense. You would then read aloud the first sentence and repeat with your eyes closed. Repeat the process and then move onto the next sentence.

When you get to the second sentence, you start with your first sentence again and then the second sentence and learn it in the same manner. Repeat through your list of points so that each time you learn a new point, it involves re-iterating loudly all the points before it and also again with the eyes closed.

Because memories are fragile, you need to consolidate what you have learnt and store it immediately. The best way to do this is to take a nap. Napping is the best way for your mind to sort through the information learnt and store it in your long term memory.  You should find that once you wake up, you will find recall easy, regardless of how many notes you have learnt.

Any studying and memorization which is followed with a nap helps you to store the information and keep it there. This practice alone will help to expand your mind and help you achieve a perfect brain.
